Mr Almeyda weighed up my symptoms very carefully, I thought, and was bold enough to tell me that in his opinion there was nothing wrong with me! I am trying his recommendation of making a conscious effort not to clear my throat, and my wife says it is helping! It is difficult, as my habit is so ingrained but I feel it is the right approach. Thank you hugely to Mr Robert Almeyda for giving us his kind attention and reassurance. We found his manner kind and gentle and respectful to my daughter - his patient. I felt he had time for us, he listened to our concerns and explained procedures and results very clearly. This specialist Otolaryngologist is the very best I have seen during the past 24 years. Both my ears suffered blast trauma while serving, as an RAF officer, with the UN in Bosnia during 1994/5. My right ear had tympanoplasty surgery but is now filled with glutinous fluid; my left eardrum remains holed and is giving me prolonged and severe pain. He has a very friendly, professional and approachable manner and is extremely thorough in performing his examinations and treatment. I always feel that I am being treated by the very best of the best specialists in this field of medicine. Each time I have had a consultation he has followed up with a letter to my GP with a copy to me. Overall, I am very impressed with the treatment by Robert Almeyda and count myself extremely fortunate in having this outstanding man treat me.
